Description
Chemistry 143 continues the chemistry sequence by emphasizing problem-solving skills that are practical and applicable to many fields from biology to chemistry to nutrition to ecology to engineering, medicine and others. Specifically, topics such as solutions, reaction kinetics, equilibrium, acid-base and buffer behavior, oxidation-reduction reactions, thermodynamics, entropy and nuclear reactions make up the focus areas. The prerequisite for this course is successful completion of Chemistry 141, or its equivalent.
