Course Overview: Chemistry 141 is a one semester course in general chemistry. A bbackground in high school chemistry is highly recommended and the course does presume competence with basic algebra. Chemistry 141 serves a broad groupof students a LBHC. It is a required course in many curricula in the Colleges of Agriculture, Engineering, and Letters & Science. Many students take CHMY 141 as a sole chemistry requirement for their major, and others need the course in preparation for Chemistry 143.
