Description
This course provides students with knowledge in Safety and basic electrical terminology used in the Electrical field.
Students will learn about Electrical Theory, Ohms Law, the American Wire Gauge (AWG) system, wire ampacity, wire sizing for residential wiring systems. Students will begin to learn how to navigate the National Electrical Code Book.
Students will be able to demonstrate basic residential wiring.
1 . Boxing out for outlets switches and luminaires
2. Pulling romex from box to box with proper labeling
3. Pulling homerun circuit from device boxes to load center
4. Performing make up in the device box
5. Trimming out devices
6. Installing a 3 way switch
7. Cost estimating for exterior load center with breakers for well pump and exterior outlets
8. Student will learn about the Trainng and Apprenticeship Process for Electricians.
